Lariza Fonseca
Lariza is a Mexican queer feminist, healer and neurodivergent. She has been part of or supported LGBTIQ+ and/or feminist organizations since 2005. She co-founded and was the editor of Frijolero [Beaner], a print newspaper from and for young artists. Frijolero sort to re-appropriate the derogatory word "beaner" to embrace the power of creativity among Mexican youth. She has written for Elemento, Animal Político and Vivir en Tlatelolco. She collaborated with Fundación Arcoíris por el Respeto a la Diversidad Sexual to bring about the ILGA World Conference that took place in Mexico City in 2014. She also worked with the feminist organization Leadership Institute Simone de Beauvoir, and the Central America and Mexico Youth Fund at the Seattle International Foundation, to support youth activists and improve the collective care of human rights defenders in the region. Lariza has a Bachelor's in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master's degree in Disaster Management from the University of Copenhagen. She was part of the 2019 International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States. Lariza is happy to share her intuitive powers to co-create communities in which we can be our true selves and love in complete acceptance.
